Enabling People to Create Authentic, Soul-Satisfying Lives
As a NY Times best-selling author (The Answer is Simple), Sonia has spent the last 30 years teaching, helping, and inspiring people through challenging times. But recently, challenging times enveloped her life. In the course of six weeks, her brother died, her father died, her marriage imploded and life as she knew it fell apart. She had lifted thousands of people up out of hard times, but she couldn’t figure out how to lift herself up.
In her grief, she decided to leave everything behind and take a pilgrimage across the Camino de Santiago, an 800-kilometer (500-mile) trek over the Pyrenees in France and across northern Spain to Portugal. Through this journey, her spirit was renewed and she rediscovered humility and forgiveness that enabled her to repair her broken world. Sonia documents her trip and learnings in her new book Walking Home: A Pilgrimage from Humbled to Healed.
While Sonia’s journey is unique, the lessons she learned – about honoring your relationships with others as well as with your own higher self, and the power of forgiveness —are universal. Her story demonstrates that no one is immune to life’s hardships, and what sets us apart, is our ability to deal with them positively and constructively by digging deep, especially when it’s uncomfortable.
Sonia has dedicated her life to helping people transform their lives and strengthen their own intuition. She believes, “We are divine beings endowed with six senses to guide us through life,” and she insists that we must rely on our innate sixth sense in order to make the best decisions for lives. Even after all the challenges she has faced, Sonia is able to stay positive and keep moving forward. She does not sit and dwell, she continues to follow her intuition and help others do the same. We’ve always felt Sonia Choquette is a true inspiration. After reading her latest book, and walking The Camino with her, chapter after chapter, and understanding her physical and emotional pain, we know she is.
