Chief Marketing Officer
Lori Jacobus is the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for DermaTech Research, creating and maintaining the company’s global brand architecture and overseeing the marketing and sales teams including creative, advertising, public relations, brand management, direct sales and external sales. DermaTech Research is the parent company of Stemology.
With more than 25 years of experience in brand development, Jacobus’ talent for creating a strategic company vision has led her to launch and grow some of the most notable brands in the world including StriVectin, Murad, Leptoprin, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and more. Additionally, Jacobus has planned and executed multi-million dollar media campaigns, lead account service, creative, marketing and media teams, and has been responsible for global strategy development and implementation for over 50 clients and brands during her career.
Prior to joining DermaTech Research, Jacobus held the position of CMO for Murad Skincare, Inc where she continuously delivered double-digit top and bottom line growth during a depressed economy. She also led the launch efforts of numerous new products including top sellers at Sephora and Ulta, and played an integral part in the Massage Envy partnership, all while increasing profitability and market share. Prior to Murad, Jacobus lead teams for MGA Entertainment; IceBox Advertising, Media, Marketing & PR; and Sachs Finley & Company.
Jacobus is currently an active member of Cosmetic Executive Women and CMO Club, as well as a noted speaker for organizations such as the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) and the Mazur Group’s Beauty Business Roundtable. She currently resides in Malibu, Calif.
